Sellers in Jaya Cibubur Market Complained on Cadgers Outside

Towards the fasting month of Ramadhan, cadgers (PKL) starting to rampant around Jaya Cibubur Market, East Jakarta. This condition not only makes the environment becomes disorganize, but also makes the sellers inside the market losing their customers since the consumers prefer to shop outside the market.

A number of sellers who complain about this condition admitted that they cannot do anything. Moreover, the cadgers are suspected to pay sum amount of money for stall levy to unscrupulous officers.

They are selling from 11 PM until 10 AM, while the real tolerance time limit is only from 11 PM until 6 AM. They look casually selling there because they have been levied Rp 1.5 million per stall and monthly levy of Rp 150 thousand as well as Rp 20 thousand daily levy.

The name of person who collects the money is Ijul ,” said a cadger in that location.When confirmed, Head of Cibubur Urban Village, Budi Hartati, denied about this levy. According to her, the person who collects the levy is not urban village officer.
“The one named Ijul is not urban village officer. Thanks for the information,” stated Hartati after conducting direct investigation.
